Hi Britt! What a great life hack that you have applied to your morning routine. 🙂 All those little timesavers really add up at the end of the day, and it’s so nice to free up that time to invest in things that really matter to us. I am so with you on this one. Last year I would spend about 10 minutes each morning (which, at that time of the day, is a really long time!) doing my makeup and hair. Not much, but enough to feel like I was wasting my time and energy. Over the holidays I pared my makeup bag right back to the bare minimum and have instead subbed in my morning meditation when I would have been in the bathroom paying attention to my appearance. I feel like it’s a much better investment of my time, and I’m getting a one thousand percent return on it as far as wellbeing goes!

What an amazing substitute! Hair and makeup is just not something I care too much about so it was bugging me that I was wasting so much time on it. I’ve not made the leap to morning meditation yet – but that’s so awesome that you have. It must be such a great way to start your day. I can’t imagine a better way actually – starting in a moment of mindfulness is pretty much at the top of the pile. Thanks for listening, Lisa!
