Tiny Bites 15: Goals vs. Resolutions | Tiny Ambitions

In this week’s episode of Tiny Bites, I explore the difference between making a resolution and making a goal. Plus, I’m sharing a call-in from a reader about his newfound love for minimalism.

Apologies in advance if I sound a bit loopy, I’ve had a cold all week and I think it’s finally hit my brain!

That’s awesome you know where you want to focus your goals for this year! I think if you have a clear idea with a clear path to achieve it, you’re more likely to actually do it.

It’s funny – I’ve yet to hear of someone who tried minimalism and didn’t like it. I think we might be onto something. 😉

I’m so happy for Dr Dan! I’ve come across a number of people who have stumbled across living with less in a similar kind of way. Everyone seems to enjoy living in a less cluttered, more relaxed kind of environment and operating on a slower schedule, regardless of whether they got there intentionally or not.

Thanks for this reminder about goals vs resolutions, Britt. Funnily enough, I was reading a blog post the other day on the exact same topic, so this has been on my mind lately and has confirmed that my decision to not make any resolutions for 2018 was the right one. I’m currently focusing on goal setting and am having a good think about what I want to achieve sustainability-wise this year, as I feel like I have a lot of energy and motivation in that area right now. Once I’ve completed the list, I’m going to put it on the fridge as a reminder of my intentions and so I can keep checking on how I’m going on each goal.

Rest assured you don’t sound loopy, but I hope you’re feeling a lot better by now!
